Women's Soccer Defeats Northeastern 2-0 in Home Opener
BU Women's Soccer picked up their first win of the season over the Northeastern Huskies by a score of 2-0. Kylie Strom scored first for the Terriers, and Jessica Luscinski added her second goal of the season in the second half. It's often tough to tell when a soccer game is a blowout just by looking at the final score, but Northeastern was never really in this game. BU outshot them 19-2, and one of NU's shots came with 1 second remaining. The Huskies had other chances, but the Terriers were sharp on defense and were able to execute on the offensive end as well. The Terriers pick up a solid win here over a crosstown rival and the CAA preseason player of the year in Veronica Napoli after tying the #4 team in the country (Boston College) on Friday to improve to 1-0-1 overall.
